Changing leaves fall from the trees as I’m getting packed up for the Stone Mountain Highland Games. Each year I make a pilgrimage to just outside Atlanta for a full weekend of kilts, bagpipes, haggis, and whisky. If you’ve never been, it’s certainly a bucket list item—more than 60,000 people enjoying the best of Scottish culture among the trees at Stone Mountain Park. During the day, I am a silversmith and specialist on Victorian-era jewelry (mostly Scottish). For that weekend I set up as County Argyle, selling my hand cast sterling work as well as some of the finest Scottish antique jewelry this side of the Atlantic. If you’re in the area, I’d love to meet you!
Some Mountain also marks the first event where you’ll be able to get your hands on Off Scot Free. This sequel picks up where Thou Shalt Not Kilt left off. A young man meets a brutal death at the end of a games competition pitchfork.
Love a good murder? Be sure to take a stab at Thou Shalt Not Kilt, a traditional Southern whodunnit with Scottish flavor. For my latest news and updates, follow me on Instagram and TikTok.
